What is a LIMS
A LIMS or laboratory information management system is a type of enterprise software that is meant to improve the overall productivity of many types of laboratories. These systems do this by keeping track of data associated with samples, experiments, laboratory workflows, and instruments. A LIMS systems will include a variety of capabilities for R&D (research and development) labs, manufacturing and/or process engineering labs, or bioanalytical laboratories.
