Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the person in this role will provide strategic leadership & direction for our warehousing and shipping functions between customers, vendors and internally between facilities. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Monroe Warehouse team to achieve company objectives & productivity goals while providing the highest standards of service to customers across the country. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership & development skills and the ability to drive results & facilitate change throughout the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for efficient and effective operations of warehouse while ensuring a safe work environment and all policies and procedures are followed properly within the department
- Establishing, monitoring, and managing warehouse operation performance goals, budget planning/forecasting and continuous improvement processes
- Responsible for the integrity & accuracy for all product inventories through implementation of procedures & processes to ensure accuracies are being maintained
- Monitoring inventory of products and communicating with purchasing agent vendors and scheduler based on status of inventory level
- Maintain departmental programs in full compliance with Federal and State warehouse safety and sanitation standards
- Responsible for warehouse driver program, maintenance, training, and recordkeeping
- Ensure the proper utilization of the necessary warehouse information systems to meet company objectives and facilitate the efficient operations of the warehouse
- Provide and execute solutions for ongoing warehouse facility maintenance, organization, and improvements
- Manage and coordinate trucking efforts between plant locations
- Initiate and Manage Continuous Improve Efforts
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse inventory management procedures & systems
- A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, and communication and planning
- Must be able to interface and communicate effectively within the department, as well as with various business units & partners across the supply chain and throughout the organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to provide accurate, timely, courteous and professional communication, and a strong desire to reach resolutions
- Strong leadership style that empowers, coaches, mentors, and fosters a cohesive team environment
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 5 years of directly related Warehouse Management experience required
- 10 years of supervisory or management experience in Supply Chain/Logistics environment required
