We are seeking a Tooling Supervisor for our client in the manufacturing industry to manage all activities related to maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of tooling. This position is located in Commerce, CA

Responsibilities:

• Assign cleaning and preparation tasks to tooling technicians based on production needs
• Keep updated information about tooling status
• Manage tooling personnel in regard to schedule, performance, training, safety
• Manage housekeeping, organization, and equipment within the tooling area
• Request quotation from vendors for tooling repairs
• Track repairs and mange vendors communication until full receipt of equipment
• Manage tooling inventory –
• Keep track of costs and budget
• Troubleshoot tooling failure or tooling poor performance
• Evaluate new practices and technical solutions for the tooling currently in use.
• Write and oversee tool cleaning procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelors, preferable in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience required.
• Proficient in Excel and Office software
• Able to read blueprints/mechanical drawings
• Ability to use CAD software like Solidworks preferred
• Ability to speak and write in English language and Spanish speaking preferred
• Experience or knowledge in the metallurgy field preferred

Pay Rate: $65-75k annually, DOE

Location: Commerce, CA, onsite
