Our network of fermentation labs (R&D and application lab), help us to provide answers to our clients’ demands, overcome their challenges and to seek for improvement potentials.
You would join a team that aims to support industrial fermentation industries by providing nutrients and expertise to improve growth and productivity of microorganisms and cell cultures. Our targeted market segments include biopharma media and diagnostics; food and feed bioingredients; food cultures and probiotics; renewable chemicals; and biocontrol organisms.

Responsibilities
  • Work with team to provide optimal solutions in fermentation nutrients to our customers.
  • Bring deep knowledge and expertise relating to the detailed technical aspects of our products, customer applications, and our activities in production, QC, Application Development, and R&D to our customers
  • Provide technical support to regional sales and nurture our quality, innovation, and marketing from the interaction with customers
  • Provide technical support to the client’s customers by replying to technical requests, supporting customers with on-site visits, technical presentations, and offering instruction for the proper and optimized use of our products in relevant applications
  • Analyze technical questions, performance issues and customer feedback to develop ideas nurturing product development, improvement of our existing products and leading to advancement of our competitive positioning
  • Ensure accurate and in-depth technical communications with internal and external customers, to include discussions about specifications or questionnaires that are required to meet market regulatory and performance standards
  • Train and support Business Managers: help explain applications relevant details, position products performance vs. competition as well as developing technical selling points
  • Application troubleshooting: investigate products performance issues in cooperation with quality, industry, customers, and lab resources to provide recommendations
  • Serve as the main technical point of contact between their commercial and applications team, industrial and quality departments and serve as a leader for related inter-department projects
  • Develop technical and scientific cooperation with academia/research institutes to investigate product performance in application vs. competition, solve customers’ issues
  • Clarify technical support expectations and deliverables in order to ensure best use of resources
  • Support commercial development, align with BU regional strategy with resource and time allocation
  • Follow up on the projects related to product development
  • Build long-term relationships with R&D, Technical and Production Dept. at major customers and help launch and closely monitor (long-term) collaborations
  • Ensure a Technical support for the regional Key Accounts interlocutors driving BU efforts to generate new business in coherence with BU strategy
  • Be active in the regional Technical Managers and Labs network to contribute to increasing the overall expertise through knowledge sharing and training
  • Follow and report about innovation launched across the industry and assess the technological landscape
  • Keep yourself updated on the relevant scientific fields as well as on Biotechnology methods and techniques in general; identify opportunities for the BU
  • Provide quarterly a Scientific and Technological landscape to the Management
  • Identify and sample the labs, institutes or CRO’s which are potential users of our products
  • Scout the start-ups with future opportunities for our products
  • Attend regional (technical) industry events to assess Biotech and Fermentation industry mega-trends
  • Give lectures/talks to regional conventions and technical events to ensure BU recognition and contribution to the industry
  • Travel up to 40% inside the region, and occasionally outside of the domestic region
Qualifications
  • Capability to define priorities in ambiguous environments
  • Curious and eager to learn and investigate new things
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Team player willing to collaborate in a matrix organization
  • Good communication skills: ability to explain scientific subjects in a simple but comprehensive way
  • Must have experience collaborating with QA, R&D, Operations, Sales, and Marketing
  • Requires good scientific skills, particularly in mathematics and statistics
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Chemistry, Genetics, Engineering
  • Specialization in ethanol fermentation or industrial biotechnology
  • 3-5 years’ experience in bio-technology area
  • 3-5 years’ experience in R&D, Fermentation, Application Development or QA
  • 2-3+ years’ experience in Biotech, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences markets
  • Master’s Degree or PhD’s are welcomed, but not required
