R&D Technician $17-18/hour – Monday to Friday 7a-3p Astrix Technology is seeking an R&D Technician to join our client’s team in Lake Forest area! The R&D Technician is primarily responsible for supporting the work efforts of the R&D Chemists and the R&D department in general. The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience and be skilled in data entry and close attention to detail. Job Responsibilities:
Testing using laboratory equipment such as pH meters, viscometer, homogenizer, and mixers
Performing raw material handling and formula processing instruction
Prepares laboratory scale formulations
Issues non-complex batch adjustments
Responsible for laboratory raw material supply
Ability to record, maintain, and transfer technical information
Computer work including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Follow safety protocols
Complete other tasks or project as assigned by the manager
Ability to work independently without supervision
Able to work long periods of time in front of a computer screen
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED (required)
Associate or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, etc. (preferred)
1+ year(s) experience in a laboratory setting (preferred)
