Astrix is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the R&D team of one of our top clients in the Dayton Area! This is an excellent way to get your foot in the door with a highly respected company and gain hands-on experience with formulations and testing.

Duties

  • Accurately report results verbally and/or written data summaries in a timely manner.
  • Report unusual results, problems or delays immediately.
  • Make formulations, materials, test specimens and conduct testing according to specification and specific Work Instructions.
  • Evaluate raw materials in current lab/manufacturing processes to confirm stability and compatibility
  • Use evaluation skills to judge overall work quality and problem-solving skills to aid in continuous improvement
  • Perform routine and semi-routine chemical laboratory procedures and analytical tests with specific instructions
  • Prepare samples for validation testing at customers and outside facilities and deliver to shipping

Requirements

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or similar preferred but not required
  • 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting
