Conduct chemical, physical, and performance testing in accordance with established policies and procedures in support of 24 x 7 chemical manufacturing operations.
Analyze raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples; perform data entry; generate and file records; set up laboratory equipment; perform calibrations; recommend and initiate corrective actions for lab and product non-conformance.
Support safety, quality, 5S, ISO, and housekeeping policies and procedures
Actively contribute to continuous quality and environmental improvement processes
Position is full-time, scheduled 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.with every other weekend off
Qualifications & Skills:
Successful candidate must be self-motivated, results oriented, computer literate, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. This position requires frequent professional interaction with manufacturing employees regarding quality related matters.
Familiarity with standard lab methodology and instrumentation
Possess technical skills to achieve challenging objectives
Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment
Must be able to work over 8 hours per day and over 40 ours per week
Education: 4 yr. Chemistry Degree with 1 – 2 years minimum of work experience 4 yr. Associated Science Degree with 2 – 4 years minimum of work experience 2 yr. Chemistry or Equivalent with 4 – 6 years minimum of work experience
