Jr. Lab Technician
Global healthcare leader whose portfolio of life-changing technologies spans the spectrum of healthcare is looking for a Jr. Lab Technician. Products range from diagnostic and generic medications to medical devices and beyond.
Pay Rate: $17.64
Employment: Temp to perm potential
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 10pm-6:30pm
Location: Onsite, Southern, New Orleans, Louisiana
Role Description:
- Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests
- Make qualitative analysis of materials, liquids, and gases
- May set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for testing, research, and/or process control
- Preparation and extraction of samples for GC/MS confirmation in the forensic toxicology laboratory
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents, controls and calibrators in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines
Skills Required:
- Must possess Associate or Bachelor level degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related science
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required for Technologist level
- No work experience required
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
- High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
