Seeking an Animal Facility Supervisor of Technical Operations for our client, the birthplace for countless breakthroughs and dramatic firsts in medicine.

Duties:
- Help manage work order submissions and process flow between facilities.
- Maintain all equipment pertinent to the operation of the animal facilities.
- Maintain Quality Control procedures of cage wash operations.
- Manage lighting controls and adjust based on researcher requests.
- Oversee pest control program and assist vendor in coordination of pest eradication procedures.
- Assure clean potable water for all animals housed in animal facilities.
- Evaluate facility and equipment needs, direct the ordering of services and maintenance as needed for the facility.
- Maintain all equipment pertinent to the operation of the animal facilities.
- Oversee the procurement and receipt of equipment to animal facility.
- Review and refine policies and procedures to ensure accreditation and compliance with federal laws as requested by Director.
- Serve as SME to advise investigators and staff regarding procedural issues.
- Provide support for internal and external audits, site visits and inspections.
- Conduct assessment and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain and write SOP’s related to Technical Operations areas.
Qualifications:
- High School/GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Certified Manager of Animal Resources (CMAR) – Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) – American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) – Preferred
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a managerial role managing controlled/regulated facility operations, equipment maintenance, and staff.
- At least three (3) years of experience in an AAALAC-accredited laboratory animal facility preferred.
- Previous experience with regulatory processes and associated audits preferred.
