Our local partner, is seeking a Production Chemist, to join their team in Torrance, CA. You will gain hands on experience, synthesizing peptides, and perform processing, through stages of purification and lyophilization, in obtaining the final product.

Responsibilities:
Measures and mixes ingredients according to the Batch Production Record.
Monitors chemical reactions and responds with appropriate actions to ensure proper processing.
Follows safety procedures, and performs intermediate chemical processing steps.
Purifies crude peptide by using HPLC’s.
Performs drying processes, and following procedures accurately.
Report and troubleshoot issues, with equipment used in processing to supervision.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organization skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to perform scientific calculations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23/hr – $30/hr
Status: 6 months contract-to-hire
