The primary responsibility is to support the development of novel encapsulation technologies by conducting laboratory experiments and evaluating performance in food applications. Activities will include the preparation of prototypes, the incorporation of prototypes into finished food & beverage products and the completion of internal evaluations including analytical testing, shelf life and sensory.
We are seeking candidates that have basic laboratory skills and an interest in bench-level technical work. This position will require excellent organizational and time management skills to help support multiple projects.

Conducting bench-level experiments
Preparing prototypes in a laboratory setting
Performing basic analytical testing (e.g. water activity, viscosity, droplet size)
Incorporating prototypes into finished food, beverage, and confectionary products
Preparing prototypes for stability testing
Participating in informal sensory evaluations of prototypes as neat and in finished foods
Requirements:
B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry or related field
Experience working in a laboratory setting
Excellent organizational and time management skills
