The Laboratory Facilities Supervisor, coordinates and oversees daily activities in the Centennial, CO building and provides support to smaller laboratories around the country within our network of labs.

Pay: $75,000 – $95,000/year

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

· Administering routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance and coordinating/conducting outside services, as needed

· Keeps facilities in safe, secured condition and in constant working order

· Assists with maintenance of mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, and architecture to ensure

facilities are comfortable and safe for staff

· Assists with maintenance of general supply inventory and equipment storage

· Develops reports, SOPs, policies, and forms related to this position

· Collects paperwork from vendors to ensure building documentation is complete for regulatory inspections

· Ordering, Inventory and Work Orders – Coordinates and prepares required work orders for electrical, plumbing, custodial, carpentry, key, to perform work required to maintain facilities

· Manages property through the ordering and installation of non-laboratory equipment

· Acts as surplus equipment and furniture coordinator, handling recyclable materials

· Monitors and restocks office supplies, as needed

· Tags new acquisitions and proper disposal of unusable furniture

· Oversees building records submission to Property Management

· Assists staff and faculty with facility requests, including furniture/equipment moving and assembling, office painting, building renovations, mounting bulletin boards, replacing light bulbs, etc.

· Lab Safety and Testing – Promotes safe building access practices for staff, providing reminders as necessary and reporting incidents or accidents, when required, if safety rules are compromised

· On-Call for up to 30% of the year for all 11 locations. While On-Call, serves as a contact for after-hours building emergencies for all 11 locations.

· Fixes minor issues or arranges for repairs when needed

· Tracks and coordinates service schedules for facilities for all sites

· Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· The applicant will bring their experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting a fast-paced laboratory environment

· This person must be professional, enjoy working in a laboratory facility and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine

· Position Details: May be required to work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends. Will be On Call up to 30% of the year to support facility emergencies for all 11 locations.

· Ability to lift or move heavy objects

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2+ years of experience in facilities management or lab operations in biotech/pharma, healthcare or academic laboratory environment. Relevant transferable experience will be considered.

· Four years of related experience in facilities, building maintenance, or facilities construction scheduling

· Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

· Ability to identify, assess, and solve problems. Team player and leader who takes initiative to improve processes or solve problems

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding

· Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls while providing a high level of service and responsiveness to internal and external parties

· Capable of working independently while retaining strong alignment
