Global cutting-edge biotech company is excited to share they are looking to expand their accessioning team! As a Laboratory Accessioner, you will be responsible for laboratory inventory, organizing and tracking samples within the freezer, and performing necessary documentation management.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, and Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-5pm
Terms: 6 months contract possibility to convert based on performance but this is not guaranteed
Pay: $17-19/hr. depending on experience.
Position Summary:
Logistic assistant position support research trial activity for specimen inventoy onsite including using BSI, LIMS, ERP software for receiving and logging in patient specimens and general supplies. This position requires organize and update freezer inventory on daily basis.
Core Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manages workload and resources including:
- Demonstrating the ability to multi-task on a daily basis, prioritize project goals, pay strict attention to detail, and meet customer demands
- Responsible for freezer map and specimen inventory log
- Receiving and inspecting frozen patient specimens
- Monitoring clinical site inventories and replenishing/refreshing supplies as necessary, but within constraints of the contract
- Coordinating sample shipment/receipt with clinical sites and package carriers
- Picking up samples locally (on occasion): Must own a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license as the position involves sample pickup as needed, as a backup to the other staff, at local sites.
- Maintaining an organized and safe lab environment by helping to enforce GCP/CLIA compliance.
- Providing training to clinical sites as requested
- Support moving if needed
- Sending out sample prenotification and receiving (sample and reagents) notifications to scientific team
Qualifications
Qualifications and minimum requirements include:
- Education – Minimum high school graduate
Preferred:
- Familiar with LIMS, ERP or BSI system
- Understanding of current GLP or CAP/CLIA/ISO standards
- Be flexible on working hour if needed
- Have a documentation background in a laboratory setting with respect to regulatory guidelines (cGMP, cGLP or ISO) and SOPs
- Good organizational and people skills. Good computer skills with mid to advanced level in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
Working Conditions
Position requires occasional long hours, work on the evenings, weekends, and holidays along with the possibility of domestic and international travel in order to support business and/or scientific objectives
