Seeking a Laboratory Technician for our client – a leading global pharmaceutical company who specializes in developing and manufacturing a variety of well-known pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines and animal-health products.
*Contract Role*
Shift: 3-2-2. Week days 7am-7pm, and weekends 7pm-7am. Weekends work needed every other week. (First month will be all training on dayshift)
Responsibilities:
Under the leadership of the Quality Manager, performs a wide variety of tests and assays on factory in-process samples, along with other analyses on intermediates, raw materials, water samples or finish goods as needed and various service request samples.
Prepares and standardizes various chemical reagents, solutions, standards used in either the laboratory or production area.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Chemistry, Medtech, Biochemistry or equivalent science degree
Proficient in common laboratory techniques such as HPLC, GC, tritrations, pippeting
Must be able to work a variety of schedules, including 12 shift rotations, weekends, overtime and holidays
Good time management and technical writing skills, as well as a basic knowledge in the use of computers for data handling of laboratory test results
