Our partner in San Diego, a growing CRO, is seeking a skilled Invivo Manager


  • Lead the In-Vivo staff by scheduling, evaluating and overseeing work on studies.
  • Assist in the development of approaches to assess studies, processes and training in direct Animal Models with high-quality study data.
  • Consult and interact with Study Directors on regular basis.
  • Occasional client interaction.
  • Plan, Coordinate and evaluate the work of the team as a whole and individually.
  • Maintain consistent and timely communication with all required personnel (internally and externally).
  • Stay current on appropriate In-Vivo procedures training.
  • Track to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, compliant with statutory obligations.
  • Training and managing staff’s training files. Update Study Techs Skills Metrics for scheduling assignments.
  • Monitor the operation of all animal rooms, support areas and equipment and immediately report faults, concerns or suggestions to the department Manager.
  • Report potential health or behavioral problems involving the health of the animals to the department Manager.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Under the direction of the department Manager, provide consistent and high quality daily in-vivo technical research support.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures in relation to Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Willing to perform studies on live animals and adhere to Animal Welfare regulations.
  • Uses computer system for word processing, data collection and analysis, storage and retrieval.
  • Flexibility in variable and extended hours plus weekend work is required.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. degree in Biological Science plus 2 years of specific experience in animal related field.
  • A.A. degree plus 4 years of specific experience in animal related field.
