Seeing an International Logistics Specialist for our client – a leading global consumer-centric medical device company.

*6 Month Contract-to-Hire

You Will:

Determine the most economical means of shipping product to customer, using alternate avenues as applicable.
Accurately prepare all necessary documentation for international shipments such as commercial invoices, shipper’s letter of instruction, endorsement form, airway bills and bill of lading.
Liaise directly with customer and the international customer team providing export documents, shipping, and delivery status.
Contacts forwarding company, as needed, for air freight shipments to obtain rate quotes. Incorporate rates on invoice.
Contacts carriers via phone as needed to obtain quotes and schedule pickups.
Enters shipments into computer system so invoice is generated, including freight charges.
Performs additional duties and assignments as directed by management.

You Have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2 – 3 years export, documentation, and ocean/air transportation experience.
Ability to understand and interpret Harmonized Tariff Codes, extensive knowledge of import and export rules and regulations as published by the US CBP.
Familiarity with international transportation marketplace and freight systems.
