We are looking for an Information Systems Developer/Architect to create, configure, and maintain software and infrastructure systems that will support the company’s data management and research processes. Customization and enhancements to existing software systems (in-house developed system called TracSeq); support of day-to-day operations tasks to identify and address TracSeq issues; user and new staff training; interacting with users to define system needs and effectively communicate them to programming/coding support staff; and communications to internal and external users and customers are among the activities undertaken. Other tasks may include project-specific data management needs, the creation of custom queries and reports to support operations (for example, billing reports), and other laboratories IT support requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Information Sciences, or a relevant degree
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with software development and database systems.
  • Experience with spreadsheet applications (such as Microsoft Excel) and standard database report-generating tools (such as Crystal Reports).
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Training in computer, bioinformatics, and math I science-related curriculum.
  • Additional software development expertise with the following technologies would be a plus: C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, Code First, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Entity Framework (ORM), API development, web services, Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops, and MS SQL Server.
  • Selected candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a broad array of collaborators. The employee is expected to work independently and with teams and to seek clarification of instructions as necessary.

Most work can be performed in a hybrid environment (remote/on-site) but requires regular interactions with on-site staff.
