GMP CHEMIST

Location: Dallas, TX
Pay: $65k – $75K
Schedule: M-F 8am – 5pm

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

A leading manufacturer of customized chelating agents developed specifically for the advancement of diagnostic and therapeutic medicines for treatment of cancer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute and optimize organic chemistry manufacturing processes on the gram to multi-gram scale
  • Maintain documentation in batch records and lab notebook
  • Provide technical assistance for new product development and full-scale production
  • Monitoring stocks and ordering of raw materials as needed

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES:

  • Conduct (GMP and non-GMP) organic synthesis on lab scale to prepare gram quantities of intermediates and finished products
  • Collect appropriate analytical data, perform rigorous evaluation with data-based decisions
  • Create manufacturing documentation for new GMP products
  • Train junior chemists in GMP manufacturing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/MS Chemistry with at least 5 years’ experience including preparation of GMP documentation (batch records, SOPs, raw materials) starting with tech transfer from research group
  • Proven record of hands-on benchtop organic syntheses.  Can convey in writing or verbally the work that was performed
  • Experienced with typical laboratory equipment and instrumentation (HPLC, LC/MS) rotary evaporators, diaphragm pumps, oil pumps, etc.)
  • Skilled in reverse phase chromatography either on flash or preparatory columns and can develop purification methods 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
