Document Control Specialist III

Global cutting-edge leader in medical manufacturing specializing in eye care is looking for a Document Control Specialist to join their team on a 2-year contract basis. As a Document Control Specialist you will be responsible for auditing, processing, version controlling, publication and retention of functional documents and/or GxP records. The position provides cross-functional support that includes but is not limited to Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Medical Affairs, Medical Writing, Business Development. This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded document control professional with a Bachelors Degree and 3 years of experience in document control/document management.
Key Duties:
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance to policies/procedures.
- Resource/search for documents using search engines.
- Assist with repository content organization, monitoring workflows, and analyzing metrics.
- Assist with 3x year software updates, including requests, scripts, and user testing.
- Mentoring and training customers/users in the document management process.
- Other project work as needed.
Requirements:
- 3 years in document control/document management function.
- Medical device, clinical, or pharmaceutical industry experience desirable.
- Experience with Veeva Quality, Clinical, or PromoMats desirable.
- Education Minimum Required: Bachelors degree
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Adobe software, and similar standard applications.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Library or document management software or electronic database systems.
- Use of basic analytical techniques and/or previous experience to identify the most appropriate option or to adapt or improve existing approaches.
- Experience with SOPs and document conformity and compliance.
