Clinical Lab Scientist

This rapidly growing laboratory is seeking an experienced clinical lab professional to join their expanding team.  This is a great opportunity to work at a cutting-edge facility with state-of-the-art equipment and systems.  The successful candidate will have industry experience with testing samples and operating instrumentation.  This role is perfect for those who crave upward mobility and career development as this department is experiencing quick growth!

What will you do?

  • Perform moderate and high complexity testing on patient specimens
  • Correlate and interpret data utilizing critical thinking skills and knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments
  • Will be involved in teaching and training students, new employees, and residents/medical students as needed
  • Effectively perform problem resolution, equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and test result data entry
  • Successfully and timely complete all required competency assessments

Essential Functions

  • Consistently performs all assigned testing accurately and efficiently
  • Acquires, maintains, and utilizes thorough knowledge of principles and theories to effectively performs testing and respond to inquiries
  • Consistently follows protocols for interpreting and verifying test results
  • Recognizes abnormal or inconsistent results and investigates appropriately and timely
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner by prioritizing and multi-tasking
  • Accurately performs required quality control procedures and documents results by each specific procedure. Documents out of control situations and provides details of each situation
  • Performs and documents required instrument maintenance as specified. Performs basic troubleshooting including contacting technical support when appropriate


  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Lab Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science
  • ASCP Certified
