Cognos Developer
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration of Contract: 6 months with possible extensions
Pay: 50/hour
Hours: M-F/ 8-5
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cognos Developer with experience in Deltek Costpoint to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence solutions using Cognos and Deltek Costpoint. You will work closely with other developers and business analysts to gather requirements, design, develop, and test solutions, and provide ongoing support to end-users.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence solutions using Deltek Costpoint as the data source.
- Work closely with business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract data from Deltek Costpoint
- Optimize the performance of Cognos reports and dashboards to ensure fast and reliable access to data.
- Create and maintain documentation for all developed solutions.
- Work collaboratively with other developers and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of business intelligence solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cognos development
- Strong experience with Deltek Costpoint, including an understanding of its data structures and table relationships.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Azure, with Data Factory, Databricks, and Logic Apps
- Experience with PowerBI Desktop
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, with focus on Power Automate
