Our client – a leader in research medicine – is seeking a BioRepository Lab Tech to join their team.

This role will be responsible for specimen labeling, processing, accession, verification and storage, and carrying out automated and manual processes for nucleic acid extraction from tissue, blood, and other bio-specimen types.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs sample verification, labeling, accession, and data entry utilizing the BioRC laboratory information management system.
  • Safely and proficiently accesses Liquid N2 storage systems and -80oC freezers for sample storage and retrieval.
  • Performs sample processing (cell isolation, centrifugation, aliquotting).
  • Assists in carrying out RNA/DNA extractions from biospecimens (blood, tissue, saliva) involving operation of automated nucleic acid extraction instruments and associated sample preparation equipment.

Qualificatons:

  • BS degree in Biology or related field.
  • Experience in handling, processing, and managing biospecimens (Blood, DNA, RNA, tissue) desired.
  • Laboratory experience required- Relevant internship experience considered.
