Animal Health Technician
We are searching for an Animal Technician in Rockville, MD!
Duties:
- Previous technical experience mandatory
- Handling / restraint
- Identification methods
- Injections – all routes (specifically I.V. injections)
- Genotype sampling
- Blood collection – all routes (specifically retro-orbital)
- Gavage and oral dosing
- Medication / anesthetics/analgesics administration and dosage calculations
- Euthanasia
- Organectomy
- Surgical room prep, preparation and sterilization of surgery packs,
- insertion /removal of sutures and wound clips
- Colony maintenance
- Assessment and treatment of sick animals
Qualifications:
- Previous animal technical experience mandatory.
- A.S., B.S. degree in a science based field preferred but not required
