Laboratory Technician
Position Overview: Join our team as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of our quality system through meticulous testing and documentation processes. This NonExempt role offers the opportunity to contribute to maintaining our high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. With a focus on detail and compliance, you will play a vital role in processing customer returns, performing routine testing, and supporting timely complaint investigations and closures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine testing (physical, chemical, or functional) on products returned from the field due to customer complaints, utilizing a variety of advanced lab equipment.
- Maintain accuracy and precision while summarizing and recording all test data meticulously.
- Ensure proper documentation of all lab work, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Process customer returns promptly and efficiently, aligning with ISO and FDA Quality System Regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to meet company goals for complaint investigation timeliness and closure.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of regulations and standards impacting IVDs and Biologics.
- Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills to effectively convey findings and insights.
- Adhere to good laboratory practices, including safe handling of chemicals and biohazardous materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical certifications or degrees are preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and laboratory techniques.
- Familiarity with regulations and standards governing In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and Biologics.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in recording and documenting test data.
- Effective communication skills for clear and concise reporting and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to handle chemicals and biohazardous materials safely.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a quality control or laboratory technician role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO and FDA Quality System Regulations is a plus.
- Capacity to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- NonExempt position; hours exceeding 40 per week will be compensated at Time and a Half.
- $28.00/hr.
